Duties and Responsibilities

Perform month end closing procedures, including the preparation of month end workpapers, bank account reconciliations, general journal entries, financial statements, and analytical variance analysis.

Maintain the Fixed Asset and associated depreciation schedules; insure proper recording of new purchases and disposals.

Prepare and update annual proforma schedules.

Preparation of sales and excise tax filings on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis

Preparation of payroll tax returns on a quarterly and annual basis

Perform sales and excise tax research in various states and countries

Register and maintain state business and license registrations


Desired Skills, Qualifications & Experience

Bachelors of Accounting

5 years of public accounting experience, CPA preferred

Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

Thorough understanding of State and Local Taxes

Strong analytical and accounting skills

Detailed oriented

Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment

Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
