Congressman Kinzinger visits Marquis Plant


On October 17th, Adam Kinzinger, U.S. Representative for Illinois’ 16th congressional district and the Marquis Energy plant in Hennepin, made a visit.  Rep. Kinzinger toured the newly completed doubling of the plant and spoke to the importance of U.S. energy independence and the role that ethanol plays in U.S. energy self-sufficiency.    Kinzinger, a U.S. Air Force Major with experience in Iraq and Afghanistan missions addressed the Marquis Energy employees in the control room of the newly completed south unit control room.

“While addressing the employees of Marquis, Adam brought home the point of Ethanol’s importance in national security, job creation, and its support of local farmers” said Jeff Peterson, VP/Commodity Risk Manager at Marquis.  “Kinzinger understands the value of what Marquis Energy and the ethanol industry brings to the people in his district and our nation” added Peterson.
