As a part of Marquis Energy’s commitment to community and outreach, Jason Marquis, Chief Operating Officer of Marquis Energy, recently made a visit to The John F Kennedy Middle School in Spring Valley, IL. Jason spoke to 8th Graders about how Ethanol is a clean and renewable fuel.
Students were interested to find out that fuel is being produced from the cornfields in their backyards and that it helps keep auto tailpipe emissions low. “The kids enjoyed hearing about fuel produced near their home town… they were excited to experience the burn test which shows how much cleaner ethanol burns compared to gasoline” said Jason Marquis. “Anytime a middle schooler gets to light things on fire at school it’s probably a pretty good day”.
Thank you to the staff and students of JFK Middle School for allowing the time for Jason to share his knowledge of ethanol.
